A bit of history (the simple version)

To understand this set, you have to know about Dulkemburg. At first, it looked like a normal city of scholars and students, but underneath, something pretty ugly was hiding: powerful people experimenting with blood magic and things that were better left untouched. Everything blew up during the “Night of the Red Breath,” a catastrophe that left the city cursed and filled with magical crystals called Shards.

Now, the Ordo Draconis (a lineage of vampires who prefer to stay out of sight) has sent a small group to recover whatever they can from the rubble. Those who have made it back say that “Dulkemburg eats,” and they aren’t just being dramatic.

The group: The Dragon’s Brood

This warband isn’t made up of legendary warriors. They are, basically, the ones the Order can afford to lose. If they don’t come back, nobody is going to lose any sleep over it.

  • Vampire Neophytes (2 figures): These are young vampires, without rank or experience. They are here to see if they are worth anything or if the city swallows them whole.

  • The Acolyte of Silence (1 figure): A human necromancer helping them out. He isn’t here out of loyalty, but because he hopes the vampires will share their secrets or eventually turn him into one of them.

  • Shard Ghouls (3 figures): Guys who ate what they shouldn’t have and mutated due to the magic of the crystals. The necromancer keeps them under control so they can do the heavy lifting in a fight.

  • Valtharn Dregs (3 figures): The lowest rung on the ladder. People who serve as pack mules or just to keep the enemies busy while everyone else escapes.

  • The Flesh Tide & Stalkers (2 zombies and 2 wolves): Corpses and beasts that the vampires raise with their magic to act as a protective shield.

Scenery: The Forgotten Corner

We wanted this to look like a real cemetery when you put it on the table. That’s why the set comes with everything you need to set it up all at once:

  • Mausoleums: You get one large one for an important family and one smaller one.

  • Walls: There are intact pieces and broken ones, so you can set up the enclosure however you like.

  • The details: Plenty of old gravestones and those twisted trees that grow where the land is corrupted.

Why are we releasing this now?

To be honest with you: this set wasn’t designed to be a commercial product. These figures are digital conversions that we made from our own existing range for our private campaigns and weekend games. We wanted them for ourselves.

However, after showing them at a few painting competitions and playing with them in public, a lot of people wrote to us asking if they could get their hands on them. So, we decided to put them out there.

Since this is a project that comes directly from our own gaming table, we don’t want any “locked goals” or marketing gimmicks. What you see is what you get. It’s a complete and honest pack. If you like it and it goes well, we’ll keep bringing out more warbands and ideas for Dulkemburg, because we’re really excited about revisiting classic concepts with a more realistic and unique twist.
