In the crucible of military service, he shed his innocence and acquired a hardened cynicism, for the path of a soldier is fraught with trials and tribulations.

His burgeoning skills propelled him through the ranks of his initial regiment, but as his ambitions outgrew its confines, he fearlessly leaped to a more prestigious and lucrative unit. There, among the elite ranks of great swordsmen, he carved a name for himself as one of the realm’s most formidable warriors.

Yet, the years of merciless warfare, the harrowing spectacles of massacres, and the wanton devastation of villages, each defended to the last breath, have exacted a heavy toll on Barney’s spirit. Now, as he confronts the haunting apparitions of lost comrades every night, it is only the solace of alcohol that keeps these spectral memories at bay.
